Best Time Of Day For Beach Portraits

Meet the Jones family. We headed out to South Seas Island Resort on Captiva Island not once, but twice. The Jones family had a specific vision in mind when they thought of their family portrait. They wanted two different perspectives. So, we scheduled a morning, and an evening session. This way, we got two different aspects in lighting. This was a great idea. Both morning and evening offer beautiful skies, which create great lighting for family portraits. We had such a great time getting to know this sweet family. I had a hard time selecting my favorites for this post, so many great images to choose from! Intimate Beach Wedding

Katie and Brooks had an intimate wedding with just the two of them, and their parents. The ceremony took place on Sanibel Island, the lighthouse as their backdrop. The ocean behind them with the sound of the waves. Katie wore a gorgeous flowing gown, Brooks looked sharp in his suit. I was so honored to be a part of their wedding. Katie and Brooks choose to do things just the way they wanted, simple. Their day was calm, and complemented with lovely details. Congratulations, Katie & Brooks!

It was a gorgeous day at the Ritz Carlton Beach Resort. Nicholl and Michael’s friends and family were gathered for the occasion. Nicholl had paid close attention to every detail in preparation for this day. Today she would marry her best friend. Michael waited anxiously as his bride walked up behind him and tapped him on the shoulder. He turned around to find his stunning bride, who greeted him with a playful wave. The couple chose to say ‘I Do’ in the center court of the Ritz Carlton Beach Resort. I can honestly say their ceremony was one straight out of a magazine. Guest then enjoyed a few cocktails before joining in the festivities of the reception. Nicholl and Michael are Florida Gator fans, as seen in their color scheme. They had adorable cookies, a gorgeous cake, and comfy flip flops to name a few of their details. We had such an amazing time getting to know Nicholl and Michael on their wedding journey and wish them all the best.

Being a photographer, I get to experience all different types of events. One of my favorite to photograph would definitely be engagement sessions. An extended time with a couple in love, makes my job so much fun! Add in the beach and some props and we are all set. Meet Taylor and Mark , we headed to South Seas Resort on Captiva Island to capture some gorgeous images. I am always a fan of writing in the sand, since it adds a personal touch. This also makes a perfect save the date!

Fun Children’s Photography

This time of year, we can count on the weather to get warmer and warmer. I look forward to play dates with my little man, and any opportunity to be outside with him. Another thing I look forward to is capturing the smiles of these two adorable children. Gabby and Charlie have continued to grow up right in front of my camera lens. Every year right around their birthdays, we schedule a portrait session in a new and fun place. I always enjoy bringing the images back to the studio, and glancing at years past to see how much they have grown. I am so glad that they will always have these images to look back on and smile.

Happy Easter

As a mom, I look for any excuse to take cute pictures of my little man. Easter is no exception. Spring is here, along with easter eggs and pastel colors. As Cole gets bigger, I cherish all the memories captured on film. Easter is a great time to capture some great pictures of your kids as well. So as the kids are opening their Easter baskets, make sure the Easter Bunny has the camera in hand!
