The Best Children’s Photography

Tuesday, September 27th, 2011

Every summer I make it a point to journey back to my hometown. I look forward to this trip and enjoy every moment while I am back home. I grew up in upstate New York in a small town. It is such a joy for me to be able to spend time with my family. Not only is my family important to me, but family is important to my business as well. I consider it an honor to capture such special moments between family and friends. I get to partake in photographing newborns, marriages, and families every week. Just today our studio was discussing how quickly time flies, and how important it is to document every moment. I hope you enjoy some pictures I took of Cole while we picked cherries in New York this summer. This moment is now forever saved in my memory. This week I encourage you to capture and celebrate your family!

There is just something so sentimental about a black and white photograph.

I really liked the red barn as the backdrop for this image.

Personal Post: Cole Bakes Cookies With Grandma

Wednesday, February 16th, 2011

I have an ongoing personal photography project featuring my two-year-old son called, “Day in the life of Cole”.  I thought I’d share a few recent snapshots from when Cole spent the day baking cookies with his grandma and thoroughly enjoyed himself. The cookies were delicious and I think the pictures turned out pretty cute too. These moments seem somewhat ordinary now, but I know they will soon become extraordinary memories to look back on.

Family Portraits At Miromar Lakes Beach & Golf Club

Thursday, February 10th, 2011

The Wolf Family met us as Miromar Lakes Beach & Golf Club for some family pictures. The property has a lake with a beach which sets a perfect backdrop without driving all the way to the beach. White shirts and khakis are the most traditional beach wear for family portraits, however this family decided to mix it up a bit and bring in shades of pink to add a pop of color- an idea that turned out looking great in the pictures!

The adult children had surprised their parents with a Family Portrait Gift Certificate they could use for when the whole family would be in FL. Gift Certificates are always available and timeless photos are a treasured gift to any recipient.

Jennifer’s Son Turns Two…Cause For Celebration!

Thursday, February 10th, 2011

Recently Jennifer’s son Cole turned two and she threw one of her fabulous parties as she is the “queen” of hosting and entertaining. The invitations for this event were individually wrapped cupcakes to look like presents. A local children’s performer entertained with live music and had all the kids dancing away. Cole’s favorite snack is goldfish so Jennifer provided a goldfish bar with an assortment of sweet and savory goldfish for all the kiddos. Apple juice boxes were served to the kids while the adults enjoyed their juice boxes of red sangria. This festive and fun birthday party had toddlers and adults alike thoroughly enjoying themselves!

White Sand vs. White Snow Family Holiday Portraits

Friday, December 17th, 2010

The Annual Franklin Holiday Family Portraits are here! We have been photographing this family for years. Their daughter Morgan is the sweetest and most polite little girl you will ever meet. She is a delight to photograph and we always want to take her home with us when we’re done! Fort Myers Beach may be getting a little chilly this time of year but we still had the perfect sunset. White snow versus white sand is all relative to where you live, but whether you come home to a fireplace or fan this December, we wish you a Happy Holidays!

Christmas Card Family Portraits in Lakes Park

Thursday, December 2nd, 2010

The annual holiday portrait of the Wussler family is always a festive treat to shoot. Every year they create a custom card to send out to friends and family. This year, they chose Lakes Park for the location which offers green foliage and stone walls as great backdrops for their pictures. Macey, the only girl of the 4 children, is the princess of the family and she often dresses accordingly. Her adorable tutu was handcrafted by her mother’s boutique. It’s always a delight when clients have special outfits, Christmas socks, and other fun personal touches to make their photographs come to life.

There’s still time for your Holiday Family Portraits! Call our studio today!

Jen’s Autumn Family Trip to New York

Thursday, November 25th, 2010

Every year we take a family trip up to New York and we recently took our annual voyage to visit relatives. Autumn is my favorite time of year in New York and these photos were taken in the family backyard. My son Cole, now almost 2, lived for raking the leaves into small piles. It was his new found favorite hobby and he couldn’t get enough of it.

Our trip happened to fall over Halloween and so we took Cole trick-or-treating and appropriately dressed him in the hometown mascot, “The Bumble Bee”. All of our family friends were so excited to see him in costume and he was the neighborhood celebrity for the evening.

Family is one of the most important things in life and autumn trips up north are always an annual event I look forward to. I’m so blessed to have wonderful family to love…and to photograph!

“Barefoot” Family Portraits on Barefoot Beach at Sunset

Thursday, November 18th, 2010

These adorable “barefoot” Santucci family portraits were taken on Barefoot Beach in Bonita Springs. The two kids, Charlie and Gabby, are so easy to work with and I have been photographing them since Charlie was born. It’s been so fun to watch them grow and capture their smiles at all the different stages. They are special children who somehow get even more adorable with age. The Santucci family is full of giggles and overflowing with love for each other. And though surrounded by nature’s beauty of colorful sunsets and ocean spray during this shoot, I would agree with the words of George Santayana, “The family is one of nature’s greatest masterpieces.”

Unforgettable Snapshots at Naples Beach Hotel to Celebrate First Pregnancy

Monday, October 25th, 2010

After years of marriage, John and Ericka are still an adorable couple whose love for each other continues to radiate. Their relationship is about to blossom even more, as they have just found out they are pregnant with their first baby! I was privileged to capture some unforgettable snapshots of love and excitement in their shoot at the Naples Beach Hotel.

A favorite hobby of  John and Ericka is reading cookbooks and creating gourmet meals together. You may still see them at Barnes and Noble, only now preparing for a new type of cooking using ingredients such as bananas and squash for tiny, toothless mouths. The fact that these two are not afraid to get their feet a little sandy or their pants a little wet convinces me they will be spectacular parents!

Pictures capture the milestones of life and freeze those overjoyed facial expressions of the most meaningful moments in time. I love how John and Ericka chose to memorialize their love and a new adventure together through this shoot. Why not celebrate all the special moments of life? Capture the beauty of the moment in a timeless way… and let the photos do the talking.
