I really enjoyed meeting and photographing the lovely couple that Annie and Dave are together. Originally from Britain (yes, their amazing accents proved it), they now live in upstate New York. Annie and Dave are avid world traveler and have been all over the globe. Many of the pictures seen were shot at their vacation home on North Captiva Island. The house is a really cool modern architectural gem. North Captiva Island is only accessible by boat or private plane so it is a relaxing, exclusive place to visit. Annie and Dave are both successful business owners and yet down-to-earth and super fun. Their beautiful wedding was exciting and lively and I’m so thankful I got to share in their special day.
We’re so thrilled to announce that one of our photographs was chosen to be published in The Knot Ultimate Wedding Lookbook. The book is now available—just in time for proposal season! It can be previewed here and is sold in all major bookstores. This was the first coffee table book project and they chose various professional photographers to create this masterpiece. It is such an honor to be chosen as one of the featured photographers in The Knot’s new spread. Check it out!

Everyone knows weddings can be romantic, sentimental, and the start of a new life for a couple in love. Adam and Kim strongly believe that a wedding should be all these plus lots of FUN! I recently photographed this couple’s Florida Wedding at the Venetian River Club in Venice. Every element of the celebration was bursting at the seams with creativity and fun as the personality of Kim and Adam shone through vibrantly.
Many of the details and decor related to peacocks since the bride’s new last name is now Mrs. Peacock. She carried a peacock broach on her flowers and a peacock ice sculpture was displayed at the reception. “Kissing” billiard balls were incorporated into the centerpieces since the bride and groom are fans of pool. At the reception, their two pet boxers were brought out in a dress and a tuxedo to the tune, “Who Let The Dogs Out” and the first dance of the newlywed couple was to “Marry Me” by Train. Another unique element was that instead of having guests clink their glasses to request a kiss from the bride and groom, they had to ride a tricycle across the dance floor.
Some of my favorite pictures were taken under Spanish moss next to the Myacra River, a favorite spot at the Venetian River Club. So many aspects of Adam and Kim’s wedding really did make it romantic, sentimental, and especially FUN! I’m so grateful for the chance to have celebrated in their special day by capturing the different moments of this bride and groom. Everyone in attendance would agree that this wedding was exceptional, and for that, Kim and Adam should be “proud as peacocks”.
Bryan and Lauren reinforce the theory that opposites attract. She is a detailed planner. He is relaxed and just lets things happen. As different as this couple is in many areas, they compliment each other perfectly making their circle of love continuous and complete. Lauren and Bryan’s wedding at the Hyatt Regency Hotel Celebrates their Jewish heritage and captures their authentic love.
The ceremony and the reception were held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Coconut Pointe. The beautiful religious ceremony paid tribute to the couple’s Jewish heritage and they incorporated wedding traditions such as the signing of ketubah, a beautiful chuppah dripping with fresh orchids, circling 7 times, and dancing the hora.
As the celebration continued into the reception, an over-the-top cocktail hour was the first part of a spectacular feast and multiple courses were served throughout the evening. The live band, Powerhouse, had guests dancing as if they were at a rock concert which was perfect for Bryan and Lauren because he Dj’s for weddings on the side and she loves to dance.
Tradition and culture. Laughter and celebration. Some of the first of many things this perfectly matched couple will share as they enjoy life together- opposites in personality but unified in love.
A current popular wedding trend is something called a Martini Luge. A Martini Luge is created by first taking a block of ice and carving it into a personal shape for the bride and groom. The alcohol is then poured into the top of the ice sculpture and the liquid pours out of the bottom of the frozen form producing ice cold drinks. A Martini Luge is not only elegant decor that adds to the atmosphere, it is also a super fun and interactive addition to any wedding bar. It elevates the cocktail into the realm of entertainment and turns filling up your Martini glass into a wedding reception experience guests will love!

Every girl dreams of her wedding day. For Racquel, her dream included saying “I do” on a tropical beach with the beauty of nature to echo her love. Racquel’s dream came true as she and Greg declared their love and lifelong commitment to each other on the shore of Marco Ocean Beach Resort.
I had the privilege of meeting this couple months before their special day where I was honored to shoot their engagement portraits. Both the bride and groom live in Florida and their sun-kissed beach wedding was as much climactic as it was romantic.
The location was spectacular for a Florida wedding and Marco Island Beach Resort is one of my favorite places to photograph with it’s European architecture and charm. The cocktail hour took place a beautiful terrace over looking the Gulf of Mexico. The sounds of laughter, jazz, dancing, and cake eating filled the ballroom and the celebration continued as they moved the after party to an evening club on the Resort property. Every detail of the day was enchanting, beautiful, and a “dream come true”.
Cyril and Rachael have known each other for 17 years. He owns Fulton’s Fine Furnishings in Ireland which carries everything from bedsheets, grandfather clocks and sofas and that is were the couple originally met. After dating for 8 years, they decided to get married and their beautiful wedding was held at the Ritz Carlton Beach Resort in Naples. The wedding was nothing short of an international affair as people flew in from all over Europe, and some guests even making the trip from New Zealand!
The reception was held in the newly renovated Artisan’s Room at the Ritz Carlton and reflected elegance and charm in every detail. It was a wine themed wedding so each table was appropriately named after various types of wine and different wines were served with each course of the meal. Besides delicious cuisine, guests were surprised with a Baccarat bag on each of their seats. Fine crystal necklaces and bracelets for the ladies, and cuff links for the gentlemen. As the newlywed couple shared their first dance to Songbird, by Eva Cassidy, the general splendor of the evening was intoxicating. The romantic couple and elegant decor was nothing less than “picturesque”.
Crystal and Tim were married at the Kensington Country Club in Naples and incorporated trees into their themed wedding. Everything from the invitations to the reception decor was branded with their signature emblem. The table names were different trees such as Cedar and Pine. The guestbook was an artistic tree print and guests used thumb prints to make “leaves” to sign their names. Earthy tones and candlelit branches tied everything together making Tim and Crystal’s wedding day classy and trendy.
The symbolism for the tree theme was taken from an Irish symbol called The Tree of Life. Tree reverence is a major feature within Celtic religion as the tree reflects the link between heaven an earth- Roots reach down to the earth and its branches reach up to the heavens. The Irish symbol closely resembles that on Tim and Crystal’s invitations and celebrates their Irish heritage.
Theme weddings are a creative way to add personalty and make the occasion memorable for the couple as well as the guests. Tim and Crystal were such a delightfully fun couple to shoot. They were up for different ideas and poses and I was able to get great shots that show off this truly stunning couple.
