This time of year, we can count on the weather to get warmer and warmer. I look forward to play dates with my little man, and any opportunity to be outside with him. Another thing I look forward to is capturing the smiles of these two adorable children. Gabby and Charlie have continued to grow up right in front of my camera lens. Every year right around their birthdays, we schedule a portrait session in a new and fun place. I always enjoy bringing the images back to the studio, and glancing at years past to see how much they have grown. I am so glad that they will always have these images to look back on and smile.

As a mom, I look for any excuse to take cute pictures of my little man. Easter is no exception. Spring is here, along with easter eggs and pastel colors. As Cole gets bigger, I cherish all the memories captured on film. Easter is a great time to capture some great pictures of your kids as well. So as the kids are opening their Easter baskets, make sure the Easter Bunny has the camera in hand!

I am beyond excited to share these next few post with you. We had the honor of photographing not one, but two engagement sessions with Nicholl and Michael. Not to mention their wedding day was absolutely gorgeous. But, we will start with part one for today. We did their first engagement session in Downtown Fort Myer’s River District. We had a great time strolling around downtown finding the perfect spot for Nicholl and Michael to work their magic. If you think Nicholl looks beautiful now, you will be left speechless once you see her as a bride. I will let the images speak for themselves. Below I have included some of my favorites from their first engagement session. I will share more next time on why we scheduled an additional session. Check back later this week to get the full details on Nicholl and Michael’s sessions.

Happy Valentine’s Day! As many of you know I was bitten by the entertaining bug at my wedding and I have loved to host fun events ever since. To celebrate Valentine’s Day I helped to plan a fun children’s party for my son, Colton’s preschool. Our studio also got into the affair by making adorable Valentine’s favors and capturing the most delightful children’s portrait session of my son. Our photographer, Alison, made the adorable chocolate hugs and kisses favor. Rebecca captured fun love themed images of Colton for a custom Valentine’s Day card that we passed out to special family and friends. Our lab is now featuring letter press cards! I love the lux look of quality letterpress, so I decided to test drive the product with my Valentine’s. They looked amazing!

He LOVED the big letters! He had so much fun!

Here are just a few of the photos we recently captured of Nicholl and Michael at their engagement shoot. We toured all over downtown Fort Myers for hours, capturing them interacting in a variety of different environments. Our last stop of the day was at an adorable outdoor café- Nicholl and Michael are big “foodies”. In fact, we learned that their favorite things to enjoy together are cooking, their Cockapoo puppy “Bailey”, and good books. This is only part 1 of this couple’s engagement session. For part 2 we plan to incorporate more personal items in the pictures such as their dog and some favorite books.
We love photographing this couple several times before their wedding because each time we get to know them better. With each session, we have a deeper understanding of who they are as a couple and how they relate to the camera. This makes for incredible photography on their wedding day. Their wedding will be at the Ritz Carlton Beach Resort this fall and we look forward to all the events leading up to that day to capture and show off this couple’s love.

The Wolf Family met us as Miromar Lakes Beach & Golf Club for some family pictures. The property has a lake with a beach which sets a perfect backdrop without driving all the way to the beach. White shirts and khakis are the most traditional beach wear for family portraits, however this family decided to mix it up a bit and bring in shades of pink to add a pop of color- an idea that turned out looking great in the pictures!
The adult children had surprised their parents with a Family Portrait Gift Certificate they could use for when the whole family would be in FL. Gift Certificates are always available and timeless photos are a treasured gift to any recipient.

Do you remember when you were a little girl and all you wanted to do when you “grow up” was become a Princess that lived in a castle and wore pretty clothes and got to change 50 times a day and your mom wouldn’t get mad at you?! Well, meet Macey – she is a Princess to the core and was a blast to photograph. She came into our Fort Myers studio bearing all sorts of pretty “foo foo” clothes, adorable hats and scraped up knees! What could possibly be better then that? In a word – NOTHING!
I would love to go back to the Princess days every now and then. At her children’s portrait photo shoot Miss Macey allowed all of us to do that! Thank you Princess Macey – you were absolutely delightful!

A perfectly posed Princess!

I fell in love with this adorable hat – is she cute as can be or what?!

Princesses have scraped up knees too!

And we LOVE missing teeth too!! Adorable!
