Recently Jennifer’s son Cole turned two and she threw one of her fabulous parties as she is the “queen” of hosting and entertaining. The invitations for this event were individually wrapped cupcakes to look like presents. A local children’s performer entertained with live music and had all the kids dancing away. Cole’s favorite snack is goldfish so Jennifer provided a goldfish bar with an assortment of sweet and savory goldfish for all the kiddos. Apple juice boxes were served to the kids while the adults enjoyed their juice boxes of red sangria. This festive and fun birthday party had toddlers and adults alike thoroughly enjoying themselves!

What started as a relaxing day filled with anticipation ended with an evening of lively excitement and good cheer on the wedding day of Dan and Meredith. The day’s events took place at the beautiful La Playa Resort in Naples. The bride had a private hair and makeup specialist in her room where she and her ladies spent a relaxing morning getting ready for the big day. The ceremony was nothing less than picturesque on the lawn of the resort at the edge of the tropical beach. The couple had a water ceremony instead of a sand ceremony to symbolize unity. Sunshine and breeze made it a day of Florida perfection.
Dan and Meredith are a laid back couple with class, but they also loved to have fun and their guests shared that passion. The reception featured live music by the Brett Foreman Band and the whole crowd was on the dance floor dancing away before dinner was even served! Their wedding planner, Kathie Resop, was fabulous to work with and she helped the entire day go smoothly. A day of class began with relaxation and ended with dancing and celebration, marking the day of love and unity between Dan and Meredith. Congratulations to you both!

Everyone knows weddings can be romantic, sentimental, and the start of a new life for a couple in love. Adam and Kim strongly believe that a wedding should be all these plus lots of FUN! I recently photographed this couple’s Florida Wedding at the Venetian River Club in Venice. Every element of the celebration was bursting at the seams with creativity and fun as the personality of Kim and Adam shone through vibrantly.
Many of the details and decor related to peacocks since the bride’s new last name is now Mrs. Peacock. She carried a peacock broach on her flowers and a peacock ice sculpture was displayed at the reception. “Kissing” billiard balls were incorporated into the centerpieces since the bride and groom are fans of pool. At the reception, their two pet boxers were brought out in a dress and a tuxedo to the tune, “Who Let The Dogs Out” and the first dance of the newlywed couple was to “Marry Me” by Train. Another unique element was that instead of having guests clink their glasses to request a kiss from the bride and groom, they had to ride a tricycle across the dance floor.
Some of my favorite pictures were taken under Spanish moss next to the Myacra River, a favorite spot at the Venetian River Club. So many aspects of Adam and Kim’s wedding really did make it romantic, sentimental, and especially FUN! I’m so grateful for the chance to have celebrated in their special day by capturing the different moments of this bride and groom. Everyone in attendance would agree that this wedding was exceptional, and for that, Kim and Adam should be “proud as peacocks”.

The Annual Franklin Holiday Family Portraits are here! We have been photographing this family for years. Their daughter Morgan is the sweetest and most polite little girl you will ever meet. She is a delight to photograph and we always want to take her home with us when we’re done! Fort Myers Beach may be getting a little chilly this time of year but we still had the perfect sunset. White snow versus white sand is all relative to where you live, but whether you come home to a fireplace or fan this December, we wish you a Happy Holidays!

Bryan and Lauren reinforce the theory that opposites attract. She is a detailed planner. He is relaxed and just lets things happen. As different as this couple is in many areas, they compliment each other perfectly making their circle of love continuous and complete. Lauren and Bryan’s wedding at the Hyatt Regency Hotel Celebrates their Jewish heritage and captures their authentic love.
The ceremony and the reception were held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Coconut Pointe. The beautiful religious ceremony paid tribute to the couple’s Jewish heritage and they incorporated wedding traditions such as the signing of ketubah, a beautiful chuppah dripping with fresh orchids, circling 7 times, and dancing the hora.
As the celebration continued into the reception, an over-the-top cocktail hour was the first part of a spectacular feast and multiple courses were served throughout the evening. The live band, Powerhouse, had guests dancing as if they were at a rock concert which was perfect for Bryan and Lauren because he Dj’s for weddings on the side and she loves to dance.
Tradition and culture. Laughter and celebration. Some of the first of many things this perfectly matched couple will share as they enjoy life together- opposites in personality but unified in love.

A recent Engagement Portrait shoot took us north to snowy New York to capture the love of Mike and Stephanie. The pictures are all taken in Stephanie’s hometown, Baldwinsville, NY. The couple owns a charming and cozy specialty bookstore so some of the photos used the bookstore as a backdrop as a way to incorporate what is special and symbolic to the couple. Some of the couples’ favorite “love” books were highlighted in the shots to let the personality of this dynamic duo shine through.
Mike is a fan of the cold weather (Brrrr!) and so we took our love fest outside and did some more pictures in the dazzling snow. The bundled up couple in a winter wonderland was quite romantic. This photogenic couple was creative, dynamic, and fun to shoot and were worth every moment of the frigid fingers!

A current popular wedding trend is something called a Martini Luge. A Martini Luge is created by first taking a block of ice and carving it into a personal shape for the bride and groom. The alcohol is then poured into the top of the ice sculpture and the liquid pours out of the bottom of the frozen form producing ice cold drinks. A Martini Luge is not only elegant decor that adds to the atmosphere, it is also a super fun and interactive addition to any wedding bar. It elevates the cocktail into the realm of entertainment and turns filling up your Martini glass into a wedding reception experience guests will love!

Every year we take a family trip up to New York and we recently took our annual voyage to visit relatives. Autumn is my favorite time of year in New York and these photos were taken in the family backyard. My son Cole, now almost 2, lived for raking the leaves into small piles. It was his new found favorite hobby and he couldn’t get enough of it.
Our trip happened to fall over Halloween and so we took Cole trick-or-treating and appropriately dressed him in the hometown mascot, “The Bumble Bee”. All of our family friends were so excited to see him in costume and he was the neighborhood celebrity for the evening.
Family is one of the most important things in life and autumn trips up north are always an annual event I look forward to. I’m so blessed to have wonderful family to love…and to photograph!
