Southwest Florida has many lovely beaches to offer such as the beaches of Fort Myers, Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel Island, Captiva Island, Marco Island, Naples, and Sarasota. The benefits of photographing high school senior portraits on one of Southwest Florida's great beaches include wonderful natural lighting, great beach and Gulf of Mexico scenery, and fabulous sunsets. A lot of our clients choose to have their high school senior portraits taken on the beach in order to take advantage of these benefits. Some of our high school senior portrait clients are actually vacationing here from somewhere inland, so having their high school senior photos taken on the beach is pretty special and unique for them. Another location option for high school senior portraits is our photography studio located in Fort Myers, Florida. We have a variety of backdrops and lighting to choose from. We can create an array of artistic and unique high school senior portraits with the diversity of background and lighting combination options in our studio. Other location options include the client's home, a nearby park such as Lakes Park, downtown Fort Myers by the old courthouse, or another favorite place. When one of Southwest Florida's beaches is selected as a location for high school senior photos, we make several suggestions to our high school senior portrait clients. Since Southwest Florida is known to have great weather typically year round, we are able to take high school senior portraits any time of the year. The best time of day to take high school senior portraits is right before, during, and immediately after sunset. High school senior portraits typically take from half an hour to an hour at each location depending on the number of outfits the high school senior would like to wear. For high school senior portraits we recommend that our clients choose outfits that are some of their favorite things to wear and that make them look their best. We suggest that they bring outfits that are simple with solid colors verses patterns so that the images are focused more on their faces rather than what they are wearing. If they are having their high school senior portraits taken at the beach, we suggest that they wear something that will go well with their surroundings such as an outfit that will pull out the colors of the sky, the sand, or the sunset. For high school senior portraits taken on the beach, some clients choose to wear jeans or khakis with white tops, whereas others choose to wear more colorful outfits. Once we see the outfits the senior has brought to their portrait session, we can make suggestions as to which outfits will look best.
