Our goal is for our clients' entire maternity photography experience from the photo shoot to the final print product to be exceptional. Jennifer Angeloro Photography recognizes that a woman's pregnancy is a very special time in her life, so by having our studio photograph her pregnancy portraits, she doesn't have to worry about recording this special time in her life herself. We take care of that for her! We make sure that our clients' maternity photography experience is a positive experience with beautiful, artistic, lasting images.
Our style of pregnancy photography is artistic photojournalism. Many clients come to us wanting something just a little bit different for their maternity photos. In order to make our maternity photography unique and special for our clients, we provide a variety of poses, locations, light sources, and clothing options for our clients. In addition to providing our clients with creative and artistic maternity photos that they will love and cherish forever, we also make sure that our clients feel comfortable and are having fun so that their overall experience is exceptional. We really want our clients' personality, excitement, and tender love for their baby to shine through their maternity photos, so we avoid the stiff and unnatural poses and instead spend a lot of time interacting with our clients so they are relaxed and the poses are natural.
For maternity photography, we recommend that our clients have their maternity photos taken during the beginning of their 8th month of pregnancy. We feel that the beginning of the 8th month is the best time because we want them to be far enough along in their pregnancy that their baby bellies are almost fully showing, but we don't want it to be too late in their pregnancy that would prevent them from being comfortable and energetic or worried about early delivery.
Creative, Artistic, and Natural
In addition to a variety of creative, artistic, and natural poses with just our maternity clients alone, many of our clients also like to have some of their maternity portraits taken with one or more family members. Maternity photography images of a toddler resting his head on his mom's pregnant belly or a husband's hands wrapped around his wife's pregnant belly make beautiful artistic images.
Maternity photography images can be taken in a variety of locations. Our clients can choose just one location or several locations for their maternity photos. With a variety of backdrops and various lighting to choose from, we highly recommend the photography studio being at least one of the locations for our clients' pregnancy portraits. We can create an array of artistic portraits with the diversity of background and lighting combination options. Another location option for our clients' pregnancy photography images is on one Southwest Florida's beautiful beaches. The white sandy beaches of Sanibel Island, Captiva Island, Fort Myers Beach, Marco Island, Sarasota and Naples are great locations for maternity photos. The beach location provides natural lighting and a fabulous sunset. On most occasions, the beach also has a light wind that is fun to work with. Another location option is one of choice such as the client's home, a nearby park, downtown, or another favorite place. We want our clients to choose a place that feels comfortable for them.
Preparing for Your Photos - What to Wear
It is completely up to our clients' preference as to what they would like to wear during their maternity photography session. Some of our clients choose to wear jeans and a white button down top or a black bandeau and black pants that can show off their belly, while others choose to go the more artistic approach with fabric draped around their body with their belly showing. We will help our clients decide what to wear by giving suggestions for any approach. We want to make sure our clients are comfortable with what they are wearing so that they are relaxed and enjoying their experience.
