Importance of Your Wedding Floral Arrangements
We know that there is a lot involved in planning your wedding day. There are so many choices to make and details to remember. Some of the most important selections you will make for your wedding day are your floral arrangements. Your floral arrangements are what tie your color scheme and your wedding theme together. We know that your floral arrangements are extremely important to you, so as your wedding photographer, we know what it takes to take amazing wedding photographs of your wedding floral arrangements.

Photography of Wedding Floral Arrangements
Photography of wedding floral arrangements involves photographing with proper equipment and proper use of lighting, photographing all the different types of wedding floral arrangements that are a part of your wedding day, and photographing your floral arrangements in a creative and special way to create memories that will last a lifetime.

Proper Equipment Necessary
Two of the most important things when photographing your wedding floral arrangements are proper equipment and proper lighting. Jennifer Angeloro Photography uses all high quality, professional digital camera and lighting equipment. We also carry backups for everything.

Proper Use of Lighting
In addition to using the proper equipment, it is also important to use the flash and natural lighting correctly. When photographing wedding floral arrangements, natural lighting with no flash is usually the best lighting to use. But when there is not enough natural light for an image, we use a tripod, bounced flash, set up additional flashes, or a combination of all of these. We make sure to test our lighting in order to produce the best images of your wedding floral arrangements.

Three Main Categories of Wedding Floral Arrangements
Photography of wedding floral arrangements includes photographing all the different types of floral arrangements that are a part of your wedding day. Your wedding floral arrangements can be categorized into three main areas: the bridal party floral arrangements, the ceremony floral arrangements, and the reception floral arrangements.

Bridal Party Floral Arrangements
Your bridal party floral arrangements often include the bridal bouquet, the bridesmaids’ bouquets, the flower girl’s bouquet (or flower basket or flower ball), the groom’s boutonniere, the groomsmen’s boutonnieres, the ring bearer’s boutonniere, the parents’ and grandparents’ corsages or boutonnieres.

Ceremony Floral Arrangements
Ceremony floral arrangements often include floral arrangements on the end chair or the end of the pew of each row, up front on the platform if in a church, and on the arch if held outside. Ceremony flowers could also include flower petals scattered on the aisle runner, the floor, the ground or the sand.

Reception Floral Arrangements
Reception floral arrangements include floral arrangements as table centerpieces and floral arrangements on the cake table.
Creative Photos of Bridal Bouquet
When photographing your wedding floral arrangements, we take a variety of creative images that are unique and special to your wedding day. In addition to photographing each of the bridal party floral arrangements, we like to photograph the bride’s bouquet with any special memorabilia that the bride has with her. Images such as the wedding rings or the engagement ring resting on a rose petal of the bride’s bouquet make stunning images.
Special Memorabilia
Other special memorabilia that we like to take with the bride’s bouquet includes the wedding invitation, the ceremony program, “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue,” the bride’s jewelry, the bride’s shoes, and the bride’s purse.
Fun and Artistic Images with Bridal Bouquet
We also like to take some fun artistic images with the bridal bouquet resting on the floor or ground and the bride and groom talking, hugging or kissing in the distance. We focus on the bridal bouquet and allow the bride and groom to be out of focus in the background. We also like to do a similar shot with the bride holding her bouquet at arms length away from her and the bride and groom leaning close together either hugging, kissing, or talking.
Creative Ceremony Floral Arrangement Pictures
During the wedding ceremony we look for opportunities to take creative images with the ceremony floral arrangements such as a picture of the floral arrangement hanging on a chair in the foreground with the bride and groom in the background. Another creative idea when photographing wedding floral arrangements during a ceremony is to focus on a rose petal on the aisle runner and let the bride and groom be out of focus in the background.
Reception Floral Arrangement Photo Opportunities
During the reception, a similar idea includes focusing on the table centerpiece floral arrangement and having the bride and groom dancing in the background.
