Our studio style of photography is artistic photojournalism. So with our professional engagement portrait sessions, we focus on taking posed as well as more natural and spontaneous engagement portraits. In order to make our professional engagement portraits unique and special for our clients, we provide a variety of poses, locations, light sources, and clothing suggestions for our clients. In addition to providing our clients with professional and creative engagement photos that they will love and cherish forever, we also make sure that our clients feel comfortable and are having fun so that their overall experience is exceptional.
During our professional engagement portrait session, we will take a variety of poses with the engaged couple. We really want our clients' personality, excitement about their engagement, and love for each other to shine through their engagement photos, so we avoid stiff and unnatural poses and instead spend a lot of time interacting with our clients so they are relaxed, the poses are natural, and they're having a lot of fun! In addition to poses of the engaged couple, we also enjoy taking creative photographs of the bride-to-be's engagement ring and anything else that will help them to be able to use their professional engagement photos in a creative way for their wedding, as gifts, or just for themselves!
Unique Southwest Florida
There are a variety of locations that professional engagement photos can be photographed, but one location unique to Southwest Florida is the beach at sunset time. Southwest Florida has many lovely beaches to offer such as the beaches of Fort Myers, Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel Island, Captiva Island, Marco Island, Naples, and Sarasota. The benefits of photographing professional engagement portraits on one of Southwest Florida's great beaches include wonderful natural lighting, great beach and Gulf of Mexico scenery, and fabulous sunsets. A lot of our clients choose to have their professional engagement portraits taken on the beach in order to take advantage of these benefits. Some of our professional engagement portrait clients are actually vacationing here from somewhere inland, so having their professional engagement photos taken on the beach is pretty special and unique for them. Another location option for professional engagement portraits is our photography studio located in Fort Myers, Florida. We have a variety of backgrounds and lighting to choose from. We can create an array of artistic and unique professional engagement portraits with the diversity of background and lighting combination options in our studio. Other location options include a nearby park such as Lakes Park, downtown Fort Myers by the old courthouse, or another favorite place.
Professional engagement portraits typically take from half an hour to an hour. For professional family beach portraits we recommend that our clients choose outfits that are simple with solid colors verses patterned outfits. If they are having their professional engagement photography session at the beach, we suggest that they wear something that will go well with their surroundings. We suggest that they wear something that will pull out the colors of the blue sky, the sand, or the sunset. Some clients choose to wear jeans or khakis with white tops, whereas others choose to wear more colorful outfits. Both look very nice. The engaged couple does not have to match exactly, but we do recommend that their outfits coordinate with each other.
